Brake calipers are important to your car's ability to stop. They are the most basic car brake components, so you need to be very careful when assembling or replacing them. If you know how to change them, you will save time and money. The following are tips on how to assemble the brake caliper.

Replace the brake caliper. Loosen the collar nut on the tyre, which can be found on the damaged brake caliper. This is important for any type of brake replacement or repair. Lift your car with an elevator or Jack. Make sure your car doesn't shift gears. In this case, the safety bracket will help you.

Remove the collar nut from the tire. Make sure to keep them in a safe place so as not to lose them. Put the tire aside to expose the car's brakes. Place the drain pan under the caliper. Then find the banjo bolt or bolt for short. Connect the brake hose to the caliper with the bolt.

Loosen the bolts. Locate and remove the bolts that connect the caliper to the wheel assembly. Allow the brake fluid to flow to the drain disc. Corrosive liquids must not come into contact with your bare skin or any painted surface. Drain the brake caliper that needs to be replaced. Determine whether the brake caliper is half loaded or empty. If your caliper is half loaded, you don't need to understand how to peel off the mounting part of your original caliper.

Peel off the mounting elements of the brake caliper that need to be replaced. It includes the original slider, bolt and rubber sleeve of the brake caliper. Check the gears to make sure they are free from any twisting, damage, tearing and rust. Lubricate all mounting components that need to be removed. Install all mounting components on the new caliper.

Install the replaced brake caliper

Compress the caliper piston. Ensure that the piston is fully compressed. This must be done with special caliper brake steering equipment. The most effective way to compress the brake caliper is to let the automobile salesperson or professional automobile mechanic diagnose it, because different brake caliper has different complete compression methods.

Replace the brake caliper at the end of the brake hose. Release the connection.

Install brake pads on your new brake calibre. The caliper bolts must be lubricated before connecting to the wheel assembly. After installing the new caliper, readjust the brake hose to its normal position, and tighten the banjo bolt. Ensure that the brake master cylinder is filled with brake fluid, and install a transparent pipe on the bleeder valve of the brake caliper to bleed the brake system. When you open the bleeder valve of the brake caliper, let someone fully depress your brake pedal, forcing the brake fluid and other impurities such as bubbles into the tank so that you can see. Repeat this process until no bubbles appear in the jar. Then, before closing the bleeder valve, repeat the above steps and ask someone to press the brake pedal again. Fill up your brake fluid.

Replace the tyre and lock the lug nut on the mount. Then go to the other side of your car. Test the brakes when finished. Drive the car slowly for the test.

When replacing the brake caliper, check other brake components. Make sure your brake pads are effective and have an auto mechanic smooth your rotor. If you are unsure of your auto mechanic skills, let a professional do the job to avoid risks.
